The Supervisory Board is the auditing body of the Institute. Its current members are:
Tomáš Kraus, Chair of the Supervisory Board of ESLI
Tomáš Kraus is the current Secretary of the Federation of Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic and teaches Jewish and Holocaust studies. He has held leading positions in the Partnership of Christians and Jews, B’nai B’rith, and the Czech Council for Victims of Nazism. He has been Advisor to the Executive Council of the European Council of Jewish Communities, and served as Vice-President of the European Jewish Congress and of the World Jewish Congress. Mr. Kraus graduated from the Charles University in Prague with a doctoral degree in law.
Tomáš Kryl, Vice-Chair of the Supervisory Board of ESLI
Tomáš Kryl is the Director General of the Logistics Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Mr. Kryl has worked at the Ministry in a variety of roles since 1993. He co-founded the Report on the Foreign Policy of the Czech Republic. He was also Representative of the Ministry’s Foreign Affairs in the National Experts Group in the Archives of EU-Member States and EU-Institutions and Organs – organized at the request of the Council of the European Union. He graduated from the School of Economics in Prague, and holds a doctorate in International Relations.
