Katarina Von Schnurbein
The European Shoah Legacy Institute would like to congratulate Ms. Katharina Von Schnurbein on her appointment as the European Commission’s Coordinator on combating anti-Semitism.
A German national, Ms. Von Schnurbein has been coordinating the Commission’s dialogue with churches, religious institutions, philosophical, and non-confessional organisations, and was part of former European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso’s advisory team. Prior to that, she was the European Commission’s spokesperson for Employment, Social Affairs, and Equal Opportunities (2004-2010) and press officer at the Delegation of the European Commission to the Czech Republic (2002-2004).
The European Shoah Legacy Institute looks forward to working closely with Ms. Von Schnurbein to strengthen and promote greater cohesion in Europe and further the principles and objectives contained within the Terezin Declaration.
