Provenance Research Initiative Released by European Parliament

Monday 23rd May the European Parliament’s Committee on Legal Affairs received the report commissioned in January 2016 as part of the Provenance Research Initiative entitled “Cross-border restitution claims of art looted in armed conflicts and wars and alternatives to court litigations.”

This report will be presented to the Committee on Legal Affairs at its next meeting in Brussels on Monday 13thJune. The European Shoah Legacy Institute is currently engaged with its partners and stakeholders in Brussels in appointing a dedicated rapporteur with the aim of transforming this initiative into a parliament resolution by the end of 2016.
